Philanthropy Massachusetts (formerly Associated Grant Makers) is a membership association of philanthropic organizations and individuals with interests in Massachusetts and New England. As a voice and advocate for effective philanthropy, Philanthropy MA enables donors to create extraordinary value for each other and their grantees and to collectively shape the future of a healthy and vital region.

In 2017, we supported Philanthropy MA in the development of a new strategic plan built on the principle that Networked philanthropy is more effective than individualized philanthropy. Philanthropy MA will pursue a new set of strategies intended to maximize impact through dynamic collaboration of its member philanthropies, deepening its value proposition to members. We developed a detailed implementation plan for the strategy, with a financial model that considered expansion costs and hybrid revenue streams.
